As outlined in the RO 2026-27 Team Formation Policy, the following provincial deadlines apply:
Full details are available in the Ringette Ontario Team Formation Policy (2026-27). For any questions regarding this year's process, please refer to the Team Formation FAQ from Ringette Ontario.
We are pleased to share an update regarding our U16A program. Kerry Biggs has been selected as the Head Coach for our U16A team for the 2026-2027 season. Kerry brings extensive experience as both a player and coach at the competitive level, along with a strong commitment to athlete development and building a positive, team-first environment.
Discussions are still taking place between the coach selection committee. Further details will be shared closer to tryouts.
We are pleased to announce that registration is now open for our U19A pre-tryout conditioning sessions (open now to all associations).
All sessions are offered at a flat rate of $25 per session. Registration capacity is limited to 20 skaters per session and 6 goalies per half-ice session (see dates, times, and locations below).
Player instruction will be led by Allie Figley (Marcotte), a high-performance ringette athlete with years of elite experience, including representing Team Canada at the Ringette World Championships. Allie also led MDRA’s skills and powerskating sessions this season and brings exceptional expertise as a competitive evaluator. Her sessions will include skills, powerskating, ring control, and drills that athletes will see during tryouts.
Goalie instruction will be led by Olivia and Ari from the Dave Stathos Goalie Performance Centre, both of whom helped deliver MDRA’s goalie clinics this season. Their sessions are designed to build the technical and tactical skills evaluators look for during tryouts.
Registration can be completed through our RAMP portal under Camp and Clinic Registration.
2 Full-Ice (Players Only) and 2 Half-Ice (Players & Goalies)
MDRA has updated it's policies for competitive teams for the 2026-2027 season. It is highly recommended you review these documents before signing up for tryouts:
MDRA requires all athletes participating in U14A and U16A competitive tryouts to complete the following three forms after registering for tryouts:
These forms outline expectations for athletes and families regarding attendance, behaviour, communication, and overall commitment to MDRA’s competitive program.
All three forms must be completed and submitted before the player’s first tryout session.
As per Ringette Ontario's (RO) Team Formation Procedures Manual (April 2026), MDRA will be conducting tryouts for our U14A and U16A team's.
Registration remains open ONLY for U14A Goalies & U16A Players. Registration must be completed online through the RAMP Registration Portal under Available Participant Packages. Once registered, please complete the three (3) required forms before your athlete attends their first tryout.
Refunds apply only to athletes who:
Register for A-level tryouts, AND accept a roster spot on a AA team they tried out for (no minimum notice required)
The Competitive Director will be in contact with the other associations during AA tryouts, however it is still important to communicate if you recieve an offer for AA and accept the offer (either before or during A tryouts).
Athletes are expected to attend all tryout sessions they are invited to participate in and must check in at the registration desk no later than 45 minutes prior to the scheduled start time of each session.
In accordance with Ringette Ontario Team Formation Policy:
If an athlete is unable to attend a session due to illness, injury, exceptional circumstances, or is unable to meet the check-in time, the Director of Competitive must be notified as soon as possible, and in advance of the session where feasible. All absences are reviewed on a case-by-case basis in alignment with Ringette Ontario policy.
Failure to check in, attend sessions as directed, or communicate absences may impact an athlete’s eligibility for roster consideration.

Any other A-level club may be chosen as the third choice.
Please note, this information will be required when registering for tryouts through RAMP so associations can plan accordingly.
If you or someone you know would like to volunteer during our tryouts, please review our volunteer sign-up portal and select the shifts that work best for you.

If you could not attend the information session, please see the following presentation that contains some important information.
