Volunteer with MDRA - Get Involved and Make a Difference

Jun. 01, 2026

MDRA is a volunteer-run organization that relies on the dedication and passion of our community. It takes many hands to create a positive and successful experience for our players—and there is a place for everyone.

No prior experience is required. We have a strong support system in place, with current and past volunteers available to guide and mentor you throughout the season.

If you love ringette, enjoy working with others, and want to help our association thrive, we encourage you to get involved.

Board of Directors Opportunities

We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals to step into leadership roles on the MDRA Board of Directors. The Board is made up of 9-12 members who work together to support all aspects of the association.

Current portfolio areas include:

  • Director of Regional Programs
  • Technical/Communications Director

Good to know:
Directors are elected first at the AGM, and specific roles are assigned at the first board meeting based on interests and skills. Be sure to share your preferences in your application.

Director Eligibility Requirements

To serve as a Director, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Not have been declared incapable by a court in Ontario
  • Not be bankrupt
  • Meet all Ringette Ontario requirements for directors and members

Additional Volunteer Opportunities

Not ready to join the Board? There are many other meaningful ways to get involved and support MDRA:

  • Social Committee
  • Social Media Coordinator
  • Referee in Chief
  • Webmaster
  • Division Convenors:
